Landing Pages

What are Landing Pages?
A landing page is just another word for any web page that has your affiliate link in it or it can be the products page itself, but it is more beneficial for the customer and you to make your own landing page.  Examples of landing pages are like blogs, websites, articles etc. You place your affiliate link right in and when someone is interested in the product, they will click on your link and is brought to the product page.

In other words, a landing page is any web page in which you want to send traffic to that also has your affiliate link in it.
Why use Landing Pages?
The purpose of landing pages is to talk more about the product and provide the customer with more information. This way they will know more about the product and are more likely to click on your affiliate link and potentially buy the product, earning you more commission.

Types of Landing Pages
These are several different types of landing pages.

Blogs
Blogs are another type of landing page. Along with websites, blogs also have ups and downs.

Using blogs like Blogger and Wordpress (highly recommended) are just as effective as website. They are fast to create. They rank can rank high in the search engine. Creating blogs and adding new content are very easy.

Another thing that is nice about using blogs is that you are able to put Google Adsense on them. Google Adsense is when Google places adds on your blog/website, which adds an extra stream of income for you.

What I Recommend:
Articles

Articles can be a type of landing page. When you write an article and submit it to an article directory, you will have an affiliate link attached to it. You can write an article about anything that has to do with your product.

     The Best Article Landing Pages
  • Squidoo
  • Ezine Articles
  • GoArticles
  • Hubpages
These are the best because they rank very high in Google's search engine.

With the exception of Ezine articles, you are allowed to place direct affiliate links in your article. With Ezine, you must have your own domain name, which you would forward a domain name you bought to your affiliate link, or link to a squidoo lens or blog.

Ever since I read "One Week Marketing" by PotPieGirl, I love to use Squidoo as a landing page. I use Ezine Articles, Goarticles, and Hubpages to send traffic to my squidoo lens, but I get into more of that in my "Traffic Methods" page. With Squidoo, you are able to do a lot with the page and "One Week Marketing" made it very easy to make money with it.

What I Recommend:

Videos

Posting videos on places like Youtube and Metacafe, act as a landing page. You make a video that has something to do with your product and you add an affiliate link to it. So when people see the video and are interested in the product, they will click on your link.

Video Marketing is the new thing!

In today's world on the internet, video marketing is growing. Many people are watching videos over reading articles. Isn't easier to watch a video than to read an article?

When making a video, there are many types of videos you can do to promote your product. A couple I personally use is that you can create a "screen capture" video, where you record what is on your computer screen. With this, you could possible show part of the product to show customers what they are going to get. Another type of video is when you record yourself talking about the product, perhaps giving a review on the product. There are many different ways to promote with videos.

I recommend along with articles and blogs, to promote with videos because videos is the direction the internet is going.

What I Recommend:
Easy Video Sales

Websites
Websites are not exactly a landing page because it is completely yours and they have multiple pages, but you can still use them as a landing page.

Websites might make you want to run for the hills, but they give you a couple more advantages then any other landing page. They make you look more professional to customers.  Also, websites allow you to have more pages, so many different products are available on the website, potentially increasing your sales more.

There are plenty of website creators available. Some are free and some cost a little bit of money. Of course, with the free website creators, you are limited on what you can do with your website.

What I Recommend:

Websites do take a bit more time and effort to create (sometimes money), so there are other types of landing pages that also work well.
